Here are some numbers from the Quiz Bowl tournament at St. Andrew’s this past weekend:
Murrah’s A team took 4th place overall, both in the bracket and in the points race, with 1,905 total points.
Clinton High School took 3rd place, White Station (Memphis) in 2nd, and Meridian High School 1st, after multiple tie-breaker questions.
Murrah Junior Graeme Campbell was 2nd overall in individual points (515) after a student from Meridian.
All three Murrah teams advanced to the playoff rounds, ranked 15th, 11th, and 6th after the preliminary rounds (out of a 22-team field). Murrah C was knocked out by St. Joseph, and Murrah B lost to Murrah A.
